Which hose to connect to submersible pump?

Hoses with a diameter of 13, 19 and 25mm (1 inch) can be attached directly to the submersible pump with hose clamps. If you do not have a garden hose with this diameter, we recommend that you purchase one.

Which hose for a submersible pump?

Important rule. The general rule for hoses for all types of pumps is: the diameter of the hose must be at least equal to (preferably larger than) the diameter of the pump outlet. For standard submersible pumps, a hose with a minimum diameter of 25 mm (1 inch) is therefore required.

Can a garden hose be connected to a submersible pump?

Standard submersible pumps require a hose with a minimum diameter of 25 mm (1 inch). A typical garden hose has a diameter of 13 mm and is therefore too narrow for most submersible pumps. The Sos Pump only offers a multi-stage hose nozzle, which also allows 13, 19 and 25 mm hoses to be used on the pump.

What diameter water hose?

For daily garden use and light cleaning, a garden hose with a diameter of 13mm (1/2”) is usually sufficient. For larger gardens and more intensive use, a water hose with a diameter of 25mm (1”) is recommended. For larger movements of water, such as a swimming pool or ditch, we recommend a 32mm (1 1/4").
